New Zealand and India take the second and the third spot with 54 and 53 wins respectively.

Ricky Ponting has been the most successful player in World Cup history. The former Australian skipper has won 38 Cricket World Cup games while captaining his national side to two World Cup titles in 2003 and 2007. He’s closely followed by his teammates, Glenn McGrath and Adam Gilchrist with 34 and 28 wins respectively. Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan and India’s Sachin Tendulkar are the other two players who complete the list of players with most wins in Cricket World Cup history.
