Best match in the Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Capitals head to head

One of the most thrilling encounters between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) was in 2019, when the two teams faced each other in the group stage.

In the league match held at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi,  woDelhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bat first. DC got off to a shaky start, losing their opener Prithvi Shaw early, but Shikhar Dhawan and captain Shreyas Iyer steadied the innings with a partnership of 68 runs.

DC eventually finished with a total of 147/6 in their 20 overs, with Dhawan top-scoring with 51 runs.

In response, CSK also got off to a poor start, losing their opener Ambati Rayudu early. However, Shane Watson and Suresh Raina put up a partnership of 52 runs to give CSK a good platform to chase down the target.

But DC fought back with quick wickets, and put CSK in a spot of bother. CSK then sent out Kedhar Jadhav and MS Dhoni to bat who steadied the ship, and Chennai Super Kings chased down the target with two balls to spare to win the match.

It was a thrilling encounter that showcased the fighting spirit of both teams, and will be remembered as one of the best matches between CSK and DC in the IPL.

Will CSK continue their good form against DC or will the latter continue their last resort rise in the 2023 season.
