In this match, RR batted first and lost the dangerous Sanju Samson early on in the second over as he was run out due to a big mix-up between him and Rahane. However, with Ajinkya Rahane scoring a century, as new skipper Steve Smith (50) offered the necessary support, the duo propelled Rajasthan Royals to a daunting 191 runs with the loss of six wickets. Ajinkya Rahane smashed 105 runs off 63 balls, including 11 fours and three sixes. Rahane's century assisted RR in establishing a competitive benchmark for DC.
