Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians match preview
The Titans, led by Hardik Pandya, finished on top of the table in the league stage. However, they fell flat on their faces in the Qualifier 1 against MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Tuesday, May 23 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The Titans lost the match by 15 runs, but will have a chance to make amends at their home ground. After being asked to chase down 173 by CSK, the Titans were bowled out for 157 in 20 overs.
Rashid Khan played a cameo of 30 runs off 16 balls in the death overs, but after Tushar Deshpande accounted for his crucial scalp, the writing was on the walls for GT. Shubman Gill laboured his way to 42 off 38 before Deepak Chahar dismissed him.
The outcome of the GT vs MI prediction will depend a lot on how the Titans’ bowlers perform against an in-form batting unit.

MI, on the other hand, had the rub of the green go their way after they qualified for the playoffs on the back of GT’s six-wicket win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In the Eliminator on Wednesday against Krunal Pandya’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), MI put their best foot forward.
After setting a target of 183 for the opponents to chase down, MI bowled the Super Giants out for 101 in 16.3 overs. Akash Madhwal was the star performer fo0r MI after he finished with figures of 3.3-0-5-5. The speedster registered the best figures ever in IPL playoffs to win the Player of the Match award.
Earlier, Cameron Green carried his decent form with the bat, scoring 41 runs off 23 balls with six fours and a six. Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera also played handy cameos.
