Quinton de Kock and Kyle Mayers started strongly for LSG in their pursuit of 228. They scored 88 runs in 50 balls before Mayers (48) was out due to an amazing catch by Rashid Khan.

LSG's collapse began with the first dismissal, and they continued to lose wickets on a regular basis after that. While Mohammed Shami, Rashid, and Noor Ahmed each took one wicket, Mohit Sharma stole the show with 4/29.
