Virat-Anushka celebrate India win with Indian Footballer Sunil Chhetri and his wife
Indian team secured a comfortable seven-wicket win against Australia in 3rd ODI in Bengaluru. It was an emphatic win for the hosts as they decimated Australia to seal the series 2-1. After losing the first ODI comprehensively, it was quite an impressive show by the ‘Men in Blue' to emerge out victoriously in two consecutive games against a top-notch Australian team.
The series win was quite pleasing from the team's point of view, and especially when they lost the last home series againt an even more depleted Australian side. Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who was a relieved man after the series win, was quite ecstatic and felt proud the way his team showed character to bounce back in the series.
After the win, Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma, who was with her husband post the series win in Bengaluru, celebrated the win together with Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri and his wife. Even in the past, Virat has been seen bonding up with Sunil, as both of them hold great mutual respect for each other. In the last IPL season, Chhetri was seen at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium at one of the pre-season practice sessions at the Royal Challengers Bangalore camp in 2019.
The power couple met Chettri and Sonam, at the later's residence in Bengaluru. Sonam, who took to social media to share a picture of the four, was delighted after hosting Virat and Anushka over dinner at their residence.
She posted an image via her Instagram handle along with a caption: “No phones (till we picked one up for this picture), no glance at the clock. Just four such different people speaking about everything under the sun. Was lovely hosting the two of you for dinner. You two are all kinds of wonderful!”
Here's the Instagram post made by Chhetri's wife:
In response to Sonam's heart-warming post, even Anushka mentioned about an evening well spent with the two of them. She wrote: “We had such a beautiful evening that don’t be surprised if we land up at your house uninvited next time.”
