West Indies is all set to host a long summer of cricket in 2021 across formats beginning with a two-match Test series vs South Africa. The Caribbean home season will see them face-off against Proteas before hosting Australia in a limited-overs series followed by T20Is and Tests against Pakistan. With a plethora of youngsters eyeing to make a mark, the next three months promise to bring exciting returns for the West Indies cricket.
In June, cricket returns to the Caribbean shores after a gap of nearly three months. West Indies played their last series against Sri Lanka in March where they drew the Test matches and won the limited-overs series. Their opponents, South Africa, too are coming after being out of action for over a month. The West Indies vs South Africa 2021 series can be a close contest, especially in the Test matches. The West Indies' outfit is a strong unit at home and has proved with their worthy performances in the recent past.

While the home team will look to kickstart their long season on a high, South Africa will aim to make a fresh start under the leadership of Dean Elgar in Test matches. The new SA Test captain aims to bring back the Proteas instinct of playing hard with a long-term goal of making it to the World Test Championship Final in the next two-year period.
