ENG vs SL 1st ODI – Match Preview
After the one-sided T20Is, the white-ball action for the ODI series between England and Sri Lanka begins from June 29 at Chester-le-Street. England won the T20I series convincingly as the visitors were found wanting against a formidable outfit. However, the tourists will hope to bring a change in fortunes in the upcoming ODI series. However, it will be a tough ask against the defending World Champions.
England played their last ODI series against India where they faced defeat by 2-1. Jonny Bairstow, Sam Curran, and Mark Wood were top performers in that away series. England skipper Eoin Morgan didn't score runs in the last few series so he will look to end that long drought of runs in this series. Moeen Ali can play a role of a finisher in the absence of Jos Buttler who has been ruled out due to a calf injury.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka needs to address their batting failures ahead of the ODI series. Their batting unit was completely outplayed by the English bowling attack in the T20I series. Skipper Kusal Perera who performed well in the last ODI series against Bangladesh, will look to spend more time on the pitch and give enough runs on the board.
Here’s a detailed look at the ENG vs SL Dream11 Match Prediction, Fantasy Cricket Tips, and Top Picks for the 1st ODI:

Top Fantasy Picks for England vs Sri Lanka 1st ODI
England
Jonny Bairstow
Jonny Bairstow is one of the best white-ball players in the current England squad. He's in terrific form in the ODIs too. The English opener was the highest run-scorer in the series against India. He bats at a high strike rate and hence will allow an opportunity to have more points in the Dream11 Fantasy Team for today's match. He will also keep the wickets in the absence of Jos Buttler.
Sam Curran
Sam Curran is the best all-rounder in this match among both the teams. The left-arm medium-pacer bowled well in the T20I series and he also finished the chase with the bat in the second T20I match. In his last ODI series against India, Curran scored 107 runs with an average of 107 and also picked two wickets in the three ODIs. He will bowl in the powerplay in this three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. The 23-year old will provide points with both bat and ball, so he will be an important fantasy pick in this match.
Sri Lanka
Kusal Perera
Kusal Perera will be the main batsmen in this inexperienced Sri Lankan batting lineup. The skipper failed to make an impact in the T20I series but he will look to spend more time in the middle and score big runs in this ODI series. Perera scored a hundred in his last ODI match against Bangladesh so the Southpaw will look to repeat that performance in this ODI match as well.
Wanindu Hasaranga
Wanindu Hasaranga is currently one of the main players from this Sri Lankan limited-overs squad. He has been consistent with his all-round performances in the ODI format for Sri Lanka. He scored 98 runs and also picked 3 wickets in his last ODI series against Bangladesh. The all-rounder also picked two wickets in the T20Is against England, The 23-year old will provide fantasy points with both bat and ball so he will be an important pick for the fantasy team.

Dream11 Match Prediction – Who will win the ENG vs SL 1st ODI?
England have been by far the most consistent side in the limited-overs format in the last two years. Looking at their recent performances against Sri Lanka, they proved too good for the visitors in the T20Is. Even in the first ODI, England will start as hot favorites to go past the Sri Lankan outfit with ease and are likely to win today's ENG vs SL 1st ODI on June 29.
