Australia vs Bangladesh head to head takes place for the first time in ODI cricket since the 2019 World Cup. They have been locking horns in the 50-over format since 1990.
Australia are dominating the rivalry record having won 19 out of 21 matches played against Bangladesh. The only win for the Tigers over Australia came back in 2005 in Cardiff ODI.
Regarding the World Cup, they have played each other in three matches with Australia winning all of them pretty comfortably.

Meanwhile, Australia and Bangladesh are scheduled to face each other in the 43rd match of the Cricket World Cup in India. The match is set to be played at the MCA Stadium in Pune and it is a day game starting at 10:30 AM IST.
Bangladesh have a Champions Trophy qualification in mind while Australia have qualified for the semifinals with a magical win over Afghanistan in the last game thanks to Glenn Maxwell’s madness.
They won against Sri Lanka a few days ago, but their skipper Shakib Al Hasan got injured during that match and has been ruled out.
On the other hand, Australia are sitting pretty in third place with six consecutive matches.
They had started their tournament with twin losses but have won six on the bounce since then. Given Bangladesh’s current form, there is every chance for Australia to win their seventh match consecutively.
They will be high on confidence despite a below-par show against Afghanistan. The five-time champions were reeling at 91/7 at one stage, chasing a mammoth total of 292 runs. But Glenn Maxwell smashed a brilliant unbeaten double century to take his team home along with his skipper Pat Cummins.
