WI vs IND 2nd ODI match preview
West Indies
West Indies just do not seem to have any answers to India at the moment. They made several changes to their personnel but the fortunes didn't change. Their batting unit collapsed and were skittled out for just 114. Alick Athanaze looked in good touch for his 22 off 18 while Shai Hope top-scored 43 off 45 when wickets kept falling around him. The hosts lost their last seven wickets for just 26 runs. They didn't have enough runs on the board but did make India's life a bit harder, picking five wickets.
In this WI vs IND prediction for the second ODI, we should talk about West Indies' likely playing XI. They had a new-look side in the first ODI with several changes. Shimron Hetmyer returned to the side while Kyle Mayers was promoted to open. Considering how the pitch played out in the first game, there's a good chance Kevin Sinclair will come in.

WI Possible 11: Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Alick Athanaze, Shai Hope (c/wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Romario Shepherd, Yannic Cariah, Kevin Sinclair, Jayden Seales, Gudakesh Motie
India
The Indian bowling attack proved too strong for the home side as they went on to register a five-wicket win in the first game. The seamers picked a wicket each to remove the Windies top order before Ravindra Jadeja removed three middle-order batters. Kuldeep Yadav was introduced a bit late but he dismissed Hope and cleaned up the tail. Chasing a small target, it was all about giving chances to newer players. Ishan Kishan opened the innings and smashed a brilliant 52 off 46. Rohit Sharma came in at seven to seal the match while Virat Kohli didn't get to bat.
Talk about India's possible XI for the match in this WI vs IND 2nd ODI prediction, India could make one change. There was plenty of assistance for spinners in the first game, which could tempt India to bring in Axar Patel. Shardul Thakur or Mukesh Kumar could be left out.

WI vs IND 2nd ODI Dream11 prediction
Our WI vs IND Dream11 predictions for this match
Here in this WI vs IND Dream11 prediction, we'll explain why we have picked this side for the second ODI. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja are too good to be left out. Even though Rohit and Kohli didn't get much action in the first ODI, they will be key for India if they bat first. So we will base the team around these four players.
Both wicket-keepers in play – Shai Hope and Ishan Kishan bat in the top four and were the top run-scorers of their teams in the opening game. Hope, in particular, is very consistent in the format with an average of 50.

Apart from three Indian batters, we have Alick Athanaze. He looked pretty secure at the crease against the Indian attack. He scored 22 off 18 in the first game and is only picked by 44% of fantasy owners.
Hardik Pandya is one of the most valuable players in white-ball cricket but his effectiveness is limited on these pitches so you can leave him out. Kyle Mayers opens the batting and bowls a few overs. He could give you good returns. Axar Patel, if plays, is a must-pick for his bowling and batting abilities.
In the bowler's category, we have selected Gudakesh Motie and Kuldeep Yadav. The West Indies left-arm spinner did well in the previous game, picking two wickets while India's Kuldeep Yadav was unplayable.
As for the two captaincy picks, we are taking a punt on Shubman Gill as the captain. Gill is one of the best white-ball batters in the world and was in great form before this tour. He has had a tough time here so far but you can expect him to turn things around. West Indies simply can not play spin well, making Kuldeep Yadav a great vice-captaincy option. He snared four wickets for six runs in the first game.
WI vs IND 2nd ODI match prediction: India to win
The rivalry between the two sides has been heavily dominated by India in the last decade or so. The men in blue have won 14 of the last 16 ODIs against West Indies and lost only one. India also won the opening match of this series pretty comfortably. Our WI vs IND match prediction is for India to win the second ODI.
WI vs IND 2nd ODI toss prediction: India to win the toss and bowl first
Kensington Oval is a ground where teams chasing the target have enjoyed a lot of success in recent years. The venue has hosted 11 ODIs since 2019, with the team batting second claiming eight of those. India opted to bowl first after winning the toss in the first game. Our WI vs IND toss prediction for the second ODI is that West Indies will win the toss and bowl first.
Man of the match prediction: Kuldeep Yadav to win
Our WI vs IND prediction for the man of the match is for Kuldeep Yadav to win. The left-arm wrist spinner was terrific in the previous game, picking 4 for 6 in just three overs. Given the nature of the pitch and West Indies' weakness against spin, you can expect him to come good again and make a significant contribution.
WI vs IND betting odds
As per the WI vs IND betting odds for the second ODI, the bookmakers have rightly kept India as heavy favourites. The men in blue have the odds of 1.22 to win this match whereas West Indies face a tough challenge with the odds of 3.75.
