Australia, with a storied history of five ODI World Cup victories, the most recent in 2015, heads into the 2023 ODI World Cup in India as one of the leading contenders. After securing the World Test Championship earlier this year, Pat Cummins and his team are eager to continue their winning streak.
With his wealth of experience in Indian conditions, Adam Zampa is gearing up for a crucial role in the upcoming ODI World Cup. Reflecting on Australia's 2021 T20 World Cup victory, the leg-spinner yearns to savor the exhilaration of lifting the 50-over World Cup as well.

Adam Zampa determined to complete World Cup double
“Winning that T20 World Cup was one of the best feelings I have had on the cricket field, and winning the 50-over World Cup would be a pretty similar feeling I would assume. You don’t get the chance to win World Cups very often,” the Aussie leg-spinner said during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Trophy Tour.

“We are still thinking about that World Cup we won a couple of years ago (2021) and are trying to recreate that feeling. We were disappointed with our 2019 World Cup and how that finished and we still have that burning desire to win a one-day World Cup.”
