Australia T20 world cup 2022 schedule in Super 12s
Australia vs New Zealand
Australia will kick off the T20 World cup against the finalist from the last tournament, New Zealand. The game will be played on 22nd October at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). The blackcaps have been in great form and were the finalist of all three game formats. Conquering the kiwis will be a tough ask for the men in yellow. Australia defeated New Zealand both times in the last world cup – once in a warmup match and the other in the finals. We are expecting a great game between the evenly matched side and the Kangaroos will come out on top.
Australia vs England
Ashes rivals England and Australia will go head to head in the third game of Australia's super 12 games. The game is scheduled to be played on 28th October at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). England and Australia will also play a three-game T20 bilateral series before the start of the world cup in October. Australia lost the game against England in the last world cup in Super 12s and they will be adamant not to repeat the same mistake twice. The Oz team will try to figure out the best combinations in the series before an all-important World cup clash. The Australian team is the favourite to win this game as well.
Australia vs Afghanistan
The Afghans have grown leaps and bounds in recent years. They were able to top the Asia Cup group consisting of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh with two wins in two games. Afghanistan is not minnows anymore, so the men in yellow can't afford to take this game lightly. Australia will be ending their Super 12 round matches with a game against the Asian powerhouse at Adelaide Oval on 4th November. Australia has won both of the games they played against Afghanistan in ICC T20 tournaments but this Afghani side is the best in its history. Despite Afghanistan's recent grown prowess, Australia will be the favourites going into the game.
Australia vs World Cup Qualified Nation
The qualifiers will be played between 8 teams placed in two groups before the start of the Super 12 stage of the tournament. Four teams among those 8 will qualify. Two of them will join Australia in Group A. The Aussies will play their second and fourth game of Super 12s against the qualified teams. They will be played on 25th October and 31st October respectively. Optus Stadium and The Gabba will be the venue of the two games.
Australia Team form
Australia has not lost any T20 tournament since the last world cup and they will be looking to replicate the success. The team is almost unchanged and have specialist in all departments. Aussie captain Aaron Finch is leading the line with in-form David Warner. Steve Smith will steady the ship in middle overs with Maxwell to explosively finish the game. Finch is in bad form at the moment but with two series before the world cup, he can get back in form. The bowling line of Australia is better than ever Josh Hazlewood and Stark. The home conditions will benefit the Australian team a lot. The men in yellow won the last world cup played on their soil.

Australia will be taking on India and England in bilateral series before the World Cup kicks off in October. It will help immensely in fine-tuning the team to its best version. They won the last bilateral T20 series in Sri Lanka with a scoreline of 2-1. They lost the last game due to some brilliant batting by Sri Lanka.
Australia is the clear favourite for the world cup as hosts and defending champions. No team has won the ICC T20 World Cup consecutively and Australia can become the first team to do so. The Australian team has won most world cups by any country in all formats and they will be looking to dominate the shortest format of the game. They are expected to top the table in their super 12 groups and be the best team. Fans are ready to see some good cricket and the World Cup can not come at a better time.
