They won the toss and decided to bat first courtesy of a foundation knock by Litton Das (66 off 82) and a finishing touch by Mahmudullah Riyad (46 off 36), they were able to put up a fighting total of 256 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 50 overs.

After this Bangladesh suffered a mini-collapse, when they lost four wickets for just 48 runs.

Mushfiqur Rahim (36 off 46) played an anchoring knock and towards the end, it was Mahmudullah Riyad (46 off 36) who played a fiery cameo to take Bangladesh to a total of 256 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 50 overs.
Among the Indian bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja picked up a couple of wickets each. Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav also struck one wicket each. The pick of the Indian bowlers was Ravindra Jadeja, whose two wickets came at the cost of 38 runs in his 10 overs.
India's Chase: India had a great start to the chase as Shubman Gill ( 53 off 55) and Rohit Sharma (48 off 40) gave them a solid start. After the dismissal of Shamra, Kohli got together with Gill and then KL Rahul to guide India to a seven-wicket win over their new nemesis, Bangladesh.
After this win, India now have eight points from four matches. They are currently in the second spot in the points table followed by New Zealand, who are better positioned due to a better net run rate.

Virat Kohli walked into bat when India were stationed at 88 for one in 12.4 overs. He not only stabilised the ship but also ensured that India maintained a good scoring rate. Even after losing Gill and Shreyas Iyer as partners, Kohli remained unbeaten and scored 103 runs off 97 deliveries guiding India to a convincing victory of seven wickets with 51 balls remaining in the match.
