Prasidh Krishna hailed fellow fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah’s impact during their rehabilitation at the NCA after his exceptional performances against Ireland.
His brilliant bowling was crucial in India sealing the series under Bumrah, who was captaining Team India for the first time. Krishna made his T20I debut in this series after a lengthy spell in the sidelines due to a stress fracture.

“Working closely with Bumrah during our recovery at the NCA has definitely been enriching. His method of executing under pressure and his ability to keep things straightforward on numerous occasions is inspiring.We’ve learned a lot from each other, and our partnership is already yielding results,” claimed the 27 year-old.
The Bengaluru-born bowler went on to describe what specific elements he focused during the rehab, as they followed a process that ensured a swift and safe recovery to get the two fast bowlers ready for match situations.
“Our sessions at the NCA were thoroughly productive. The clarity we maintained and the regular assessment of our physical and mental fitness helped us in achieving our rehabilitation goals. We initially concentrated on promoting overall well-being before transitioning into bowling practice. This approach ensured a steady recovery and helped in preparing us for match conditions,” Krishna recalled.

His time with Bumrah has certainly paid-off as his performances in the Ireland series showed. The selectors have also kept faith on him based on that evidence, as he was named in the 17-man Team India squad for the upcoming Asia Cup.
