Ever since his Under-19 days, Gill was touted as the next-generation superstar. It took him a while, whether not getting enough chances at the top level or due to weaknesses in his own game but the prince has finally arrived.

He lit up the Indian Premier League recently, producing one of the best individual seasons ever. Gill smashed 890 runs in the IPL 2023 at an average of 59 while striking at 157, and he blasted three centuries in it.

Talking about international cricket, Shubman Gill has nine centuries across three formats. He made his debut back in January 2019 but has played 64 games for India. He registered his maiden international century in August 2022 and went on to score eight more in the next 14 months.
