Highest ODI partnerships by runs
The record for the highest ODI partnership in cricket is held by the pair of Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels. The two West Indian batters were on song against Zimbabwe in a World Cup match in 2015 when they constituted a partnership of 372 runs for the second wicket. As a result, it ended up becoming the highest ODI partnership, going past the previous best of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid in 1999.
In the process of recording the highest partnership in ODI, Gayle registered his maiden ODI double ton while thrashing opposition bowlers to all parts of the ground. He ended up scoring 215 while Samuels stayed unbeaten on 133.
