Martin Guptill calls Yuzvendra Chahal G**** on live TV, leaves Rohit Sharma in splits

Indian team claimed a clinical win in the second T20I against New Zealand at Eden Park. On the back of a brilliant bowling performance, the home team could only manage to score a paltry score of 132 in their first innings. In response, the ‘Men in Blue' reached the target with seven wickets in hand and more than two overs to spare. However, a funny incident involving Martin Guptill and Yuzvendra Chahal unfolded after New Zealand's defeat at the Eden Park.

Despite a decent start from the opening duo of Martin Guptill and Colin Munro, New Zealand couldn't build upon the start on a rather slow pitch that didn't help the cause either. Guptill, who was also the top-scorer for New Zealand with a breezy 20-ball 33, shared a light moment with Yuzvendra Chahal after the match proceedings.

Martin Guptill calls Chahal G**** after the 2nd T20I

Chahal, who has now become a popular figure not only for his on-field exploits but also as a host of ‘Chahal TV', was seen interacting on the field with Martin Guptill after the 2nd T20I. However, this time around when Chahal took the mic from Star Sports anchor Jatin Sapru to chat with Guptill, the New Zealand player was caught swearing out at the leg-spinner in Hindi.

Guptill responded to Chahal's question in Hindi as, “Kya hai G****”, without realizing that he was in the middle of a live telecast on Star Sports. Standing next to Guptill, Rohit Sharma was left in spilt upon the Kiwi opener swearing at Chahal.

This incident was reflective of the kind of camaraderie that the players from both the teams share with each other. Even in the past, the players from both the teams have been seen bonding along very nicely. Guptill who represented Mumbai Indians under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma in IPL 2016, tends to get along very nicely with most of the players in the Indian team. In the recently held IPL auction, Guptill found no buyers after being released by his IPL team before the auction.
