Pakistan vs Netherlands head to head team ODI records and stats
The much-awaited ICC Cricket World Cup is underway and Pakistan will face the Netherlands in their opening match of the tournament.
Both teams are starting their campaign and will be looking to put up an impressive show. The match is set to take place on October 6 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Pakistan have not had a great last month or so. They came into the Asia Cup on the back of a 3-0 win over Afghanistan in the ODI series. But everything went downhill since then for them as they failed to make it to the final of the Asia Cup.
Moreover, they conceded 340+ runs in both warm-up matches – against New Zealand and Australia.
Pakistan will have to be careful of the Netherlands who tend to punch above their weight. The Dutch performed exceptionally well in the qualifiers knocking the West Indies out of the competition.
Also, they have nothing to lose with not much expectations of them. Hence, expect the Men in Orange to come out hard and put pressure on Pakistan.
Pakistan are having a clear upper hand in ODI history over the Netherlands. But the latter side is looking confident having spent a lot of time in India in the lead-up to the competition and shouldn’t be taken lightly. Here’s a detailed look at how the two teams have fared in ODIs against each other:
