KKR vs SRH Dream11 prediction
Our KKR vs SRH Dream11 prediction for this match
- Wicketkeeper(s): Heinrich Klaasen
- Batter(s): Travis Head, Shreyas Iyer, Venkatesh Iyer, Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi
- All-rounder(s): Andre Russell, Sunil Narine
- Bowler(s): T Natarajan, Varun Chakravarthy, Mitch Starc
- Recommended captain: Sunil Narine
- Recommended vice-captain: Abhishek Sharma
In this part of the KKR vs SRH match prediction, we will shed light on why we have opted to go with the above XI for the Dream11 contest. Chepauk can offer two types of pitches and so we have opted to pick a more balanced XI.
In wicket-keeper batters, Heinrich Klaasen is a must pick as are Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma from the batting section. Shreyas Iyer, Venkatesh Iyer and Rahul Tripathi bat in the top four and are in good form.
Among all-rounders, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell have been in terrific form. Mitchell Starc has done well recently amongst bowlers while Varun Chakravarthy and T Natarajan have been excellent in this tournament.
As for C and VC, we have several options but we have picked Narine and Abhishek Sharma. Narine has scored 482 runs and picked 16 wickets in the competition. Abhishek has also scored 482 runs at a strike rate of 207 and could make a big impact if he survives the new ball.
Match prediction: Kolkata Knight Riders to win
When it comes to the head to head record between these teams, Kolkata Knight Riders lead comfortably. Out of 26 games, KKR have won 17 times whereas Sunrisers Hyderabad have been victorious in 9 games. KKR also lead the last five encounters by 4-1. Kolkata have more batters in form, with the line-up of Sunil Narine, Shreyas Iyer, Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer and Andre Russell. Their bowling attack has been in great form as well with five of them picking 15 or more wickets in the season. Our match prediction is for Kolkata Knight Riders to win.
Toss prediction: Kolkata Knight Riders to win the toss and field first
Chennai’s Chepauk is a venue which has historically favoured the chasing team in night matches as the dew makes batting easier in the second innings. Five out of eight games played here this season were won by the team batting second. In the previous game, there was no dew and the pitch offered a significant amount of spin in the second innings. Despite that, teams could look to chase in this game. Our toss prediction is that Kolkata Knight Riders will win the toss and opt to field first.
Man of the match prediction: Sunil Narine
Sunil Narine is the top contender for the most valuable player in the IPL 2024, having won matches for KKR with bat and ball. He has amassed 482 runs from 13 innings at an average of 37 and strike rate of 180. He has blasted three fifties and a hundred in the competition. He has been excellent with the ball as well, picking 16 wickets at an economy of 6.90. Narine will be a key at a venue like Chepauk.
