Rohit Sharma has a great legacy in the IPL as one of the only two captains to lead a side to five championships. The elegant batter has not done enough for the franchise with the bat in the last half decade but he was superb before that. Rohit has been a key part of MI since 2011 and occupies the top spot on the list of the most runs for Mumbai Indians in IPL. He has amassed 5644 runs from 215 innings at an average of 29.54 and strike rate of 130.92. Rohit has hit two centuries and 35 half centuries for the franchise.
Kieron Pollard – 3915 runs
The big West Indian all-rounder Kieron Pollard holds a special place in the Mumbai Indians empire. He has played an important role in their success since joining the side in 2010, often rescuing them from tricky positions and playing impactful knocks in big matches. Pollard has the second most runs for Mumbai Indians in IPL, having scored 3915 runs from 193 innings. He averaged 28.78 and struck at 147, registering 18 fifties in his IPL career.
Suryakumar Yadav – 3022 runs
The best T20 batter in the world has quickly risen to the third place on this list. Suryakumar Yadav only got one game in 2012 before he was released. Since his return to the franchise in 2018, he has been piling up runs for fun. SKY has amassed 3022 runs for Mumbai Indians in 94 innings, averaging 35.97 at a strike rate of 148.79. In the last couple of seasons, he has smashed 933 runs at a ridiculous strike rate of 179.5. Suryakumar has two centuries and 23 half centuries for MI.
Ambati Rayudu – 2635 runs
From 2010 to 2017, Ambati Rayudu was a vital part of Mumbai's middle order and played several match-winning knocks. He sits fourth on the list of most runs for Mumbai Indians in IPL. He made 2635 runs from 127 innings at an average of 24.39 and strike rate of 123.36. Rayudu hit 14 fifties in the IPL for MI, with the best score of 81 not-out.
Sachin Tendulkar – 2599 runs
One of the greatest players ever, Sachin Tendulkar was chosen by Mumbai Indians as an icon player at the inception of the IPL. The legendary batter delivered for them in a few seasons and led them to the final in 2010. Tendulkar scored 2599 runs in 91 innings at an average of 32.48, including one century and 14 half centuries. Sachin remains the only MI player to win the orange cap, having scored 618 runs in the IPL 2010 at 47.5 average and 132.6 strike rate.
Ishan Kishan – 2271 runs
Ishan Kishan has been a part of the MI franchise since 2018 and has climbed to the sixth spot for the most runs for Mumbai Indians in IPL. The pocket dynamo has scored 2271 runs from 82 innings at a strike rate of 136.64 while averaging 29.88. Kishan has smashed 15 half centuries for the team, with the best score of 99.
Hardik Pandya – 1674 runs
Hardik Pandya has been a part of Mumbai Indians since 2016 barring two seasons. He had a couple of incredible seasons for Mumbai Indians with the bat in 2019 and 2020 when they won the back to back titles. He has 1674 runs for the franchise at an average of 26.16 while striking at 153.15, including four fifties.
Quinton de Kock – 1329 runs
The South African batter played three IPL seasons for MI in 2019 to 2021 and was superb at the top of the order. Quinton de Kock has the seventh most runs for Mumbai Indians, having scored 1329 runs in 43 innings at an average of 34.07 and strike rate of 131.32. QDK registered 10 half centuries for the blue and gold.
Lendle Simmons – 1175 runs
Lendle Simmons played in four editions for Mumbai Indians during 2014 to 2017 and did a solid job as an opener. He scored 1175 runs from 32 innings at an average of 40.51 and strike rate of 125.80. Simmons hit one century and 12 half centuries during his stint for MI.
N Tilak Varma – 1124 runs
Mumbai Indians picked up young Tilak Varma ahead of the IPL 2022 and he has delivered in all three editions. He has hit 1124 runs in just 37 innings at an average of 40.14 while striking at 145.40. Tilak has hit six half centuries batting in the middle order and is the leading run-scorer for MI in the IPL 2024.
