Arjun sold to MI in IPL 2022 Auction

In IPL 2022 auction, Arjun Tendulkar got a pay rise after he was sold to Mumbai Indians for 30 lakhs. Earlier in IPL 2021 auction, the 22-year old was bought by his home-based franchise at his base price of INR 20 lakhs. While Mumbai yet again placed the opening bid for Arjun, Gujarat Titans too entered the bidding war for the all-rounder. Eventually, Tendulkar was sold to Mumbai for a winning bid of INR 30 lakhs.

All-rounder ecstatic to be part of the franchise

After being picked up by the most successful IPL franchise, Tendulkar expressed his excitement to join the squad for 2022. He thanked the team management, and the owners for showing trust in his abilities for the upcoming IPL season in 2022. The all-rounder aims at giving his best for the franchise whenever an opportunity arises for him on the field.

Arjun was seem warming the benches for MI in IPL 2021 and didn't find place in the playing XI. Unfortunately, he couldn't continue for the entire season after being ruled out due to an injury midway through the campaign. It will be interesting to see if the son of legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar gets a nod to make his IPL debut in the forthcoming season.

Ahead of IPL 2022, Mumbai have built a young squad and might look to groom a few youngsters for the future. There's a huge possibility that Arjun might get an opportunity to play if MI aim at experimenting with some of their picks in IPL 2022.
