RCB vs LSG match preview
Royal Challengers Bangalore
After looking so impressive first time out against, the Mumbai Indians. Unfortunately for RCB it was the same issues in which have haunted the side for years and is partly why they still are without an IPL trophy.
Like the game against Mumbai the death overs are where it felt as though RCB had let the game slip away.
The one positive was the bowling of David Willey who was in as the replacement for Reece Topley who is out of the remainder of the tournament with a dislocated shoulder.
Possible XI: Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis (C), Glenn Maxwell, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Shahbaz Ahmed, Michael Bracewell, David Willey, Harshal Patel, Akash Deep, Karn Sharma, Mohammed Siraj
Lucknow Super Giants
Home seems to be where the heart is for Lucknow with both wins coming at home. They lost their away game to Chennai Super Kings.
KL Rahul led from the front with the bat with a fine 35 of 31 deliveries against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in a match winning knock alongside Krunal Pandya.
With no Mark Wood as he recovers from the flu, it was the spin of veteran Amit Mishra and Krunal Pandya who helped tear through the Sunrisers batting line up on a spin friendly pitch.
Possible XI: Kyle Mayers, Quinton de Kock, KL Rahul, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Nicholas Pooran, Ayush Badoni, Jaydev Unadkat, Mark Wood, Ravi Bishnoi
Pitch and expected weather conditions
The surface at the Chinnaswamy Stadium has changed drastically over the years. It is no more a featherbed for the batters and the pitch might be on the slower side which makes hitting a bit tough. The ball is likely to come slowly onto the bat and conditions may ease out as dew comes in later on in the evening.
The Bangalore weather is a little bit unpredictable and there is a slight chance of rain (1%) according to Accuweather. However, things should clear out ahead of the match. The temperature is expected to be around the early 20s.

Match prediction: Lucknow Super Giants to win
It would be easy to think that RCB are going to bounce back after their heavy defeat to KKR. However, it feels as though they are a team that once again are reliant on Kohli and du Plessis, with a fragile middle order.
Mark Wood has massively impressed so far in the tournament picking up 8 wickets so far and will take advantage of the middle order. However, there are question marks with his availability as he missed out on Friday against the Sunrisers Hyderabad with the flu.
And with the power in which Lucknow have in their middle order with the likes of Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni. RCB have been weak in the death overs which Lucknow will take advantage of.
Toss prediction: Lucknow Super Giants to win the toss and bowl first
With the fragility of RCB with the bat last time out at Kolkata, LSG will put them into bat and hope that they can cause similar damage.
RCB struggled against Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy and the Super Giants will be hoping that this repeats itself with Krunal Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi.
Man of the Match prediction: Quinton de Kock
With De Kock expected to make his first start of the season. He has been in such good form for South Africa it wouldn’t be a surprise if he comes into the side to hit the ground running.
The main question is who he would replace, with Marcus Stoinis being used sparingly with the ball and also not impressing with the bat.
Betting odds
Royal Challengers Bangalore: 1.91
Lucknow Super Giants: 2.01
With the game being played at the Chinnaswamy, RCB are favourites, especially with both of Lucknow's wins coming at home also.
