RCB vs RR– Match Review | Yesterday IPL Match Result

In Yesterday's match in the VIVO IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were up against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. The disparity in the performance of the two teams was clearly indicative of their position in the 2021 IPL Points Table. It was a clearly on-side affair as RCB hammered Rajasthan to secure a 10-wicket in yesterday's IPL match. Chasing 178 for victory, Devdutt Paddikal scored his maiden IPL ton as the Royals' bowlers were left clueless throughout the second innings. With another match result going in RCB's favor, the Virat Kohli-led side goes to the top of the table with four wins in as many matches.

On a batting-friendly tack in Mumbai, Rajasthan Royals' top-order yet again failed to make the most of the batting conditions. It was an unlikely start for the ‘Men in Pink' as they were reduced to 18/3 inside five overs. Mohammad Siraj, carrying his form in the IPL, was accurate to induce false shots on a couple of occasions to make early inroads in the RR batting order. RCB attack was effective in picking wickets at regular intervals which didn't allow Rajasthan to stitch a partnership that could lift them to a defendable score. Eventually, RR could only post 177/9 in yesterday's IPL match against RCB. Siraj was the pick of the bowlers while the Purple Cap holder, Harshal Patel, too accounted for three wickets in the death overs.

Chasing a below-par 178 for victory, RCB openers didn't break a sweat as they overcame the RR challenge with ease. Taking the run-scoring onus, Devdutt Paddikal looked desperate to leave aside his last few failures in the IPL this year. The Southpaw looked in control as he plundered runs as will. The Karnataka-born player became only the third uncapped player to register an IPL century. He remained unbeaten on 101 off just 52 deliveries to lead RCB's chase in the yesterday RCB vs RR IPL match. Paddikal was well aided by skipper Kohli, who became the first player to breach the 6000-run mark in IPL history. With an unbeaten streak so far, RCB go back at the top of the points table with 8 points in just four matches.
