After choosing to bat first, Delhi Capitals got to a cracker of a start courtesy of Prithvi Shaw, who was straight away among the runs from the word go. Shaw made the most of the new ball and the pitch conditions as Delhi scored 51 runs in their first six overs. However, once Shaw got out, it was palpable that run-scoring was quite tough on that surface.

The likes of Steven Smith and Marcus Stoinis struggled to adapt to the pace of the wicket. However, it was due to Rishabh Pant's 27-ball 37 that enabled Delhi to reach 159/4 in yesterday's SRH vs DC IPL match. On an otherwise slow wicket, it was a competitive score and a tough ask for the chasing team.

Chasing 160 for victory, SRH couldn't have asked for a better start in the powerplay overs. With Jonny Bairstow going all guns blazing, it was ideal for SRH to maximize the first six overs in the 2nd innings. While the English wicket-keeper enjoyed his stay at the crease, it was a hard grind for the likes of David Warner, Vijay Shankar, and the rest. Soon after the dismissal of Bairstow, the onus was on Kane Williamson to bring the Orange Army back in the game.

The Kiwi skipper didn't disappoint a bit and took the game deep until the final over. Kane registered his fifty but it was not enough in helping the team cross the finishing line. Despite J Suchith's cameo of 14 runs off just six balls, yesterday's SRH vs DC IPL Match result was decided via a super over. Hyderabad could only score 7 runs in the Super Over as Delhi, on the back of Rishabh Pant's vital four off Rashid Khan. secured two crucial points against SRH.
