On a slow deck, David Warner won the toss and asked RCB to bat first. On a surface conducive to spin, run-scoring wasn't that easy for the RCB batters. While Paddikal was out early, Kohli held fort at one end in trying to develop a partnership. However, things didn't go as plan as RCB kept losing wickets at regular intervals. AB de Villiers fell cheaply as SRH bowlers continued to pile on the pressure. Glenn Maxwell, on a tricky pitch, stood tall to deliver for the team's cause.

The Australian all-rounder scored a gritty 59 off just 41 deliveries to drive RCB out of trouble. He took on the bowlers in the final few overs to provide the much-need impetus to RCB in Yesterday's IPL match against SRH at Chennai. The ‘Men in Red' posted 149 runs in their 20 overs as SRH bowlers yet again showed their class to restrict the opposition.

Chasing a modest total of 150 for victory, SRH was jolted with an early strike in form of Wriddhiman Saha. The duo of skipper David Warner and Manish Pandey got together to gradually bat the opposition out of the game. Despite an 83-run partnership between the two, RCB managed to pull its way back into the contest. Some poor shot-making coupled with disciplined bowling helped Kohli and co. take the game deep into the final overs. While SRH began to lose batters in quick succession, the RCB bowlers didn't let the opposition off the hook to seek the SRH vs RCB yesterday IPL match result in their favor by a margin of 6 runs.
