Aravelly Avanish (Chennai Super Kings) – 18 years 286 days
Chennai Super Kings isn't a team you normally associate with young talent but they did acquire a few young players for the IPL 2024. Sameer Rizvi and Aravelly Avanish will join Shaik Rasheed and Nishant Sindhu as players under 21 at CSK. They went hard for Rizvi, getting him for a whopping price of INR 8.40 crore while Aravelly Avanish came at a base price of INR 20 lakhs. The 18 year 286 days old player is a wicket-keeper batter and was a part of India under-19 in the 2023/24 U19 World Cup and is one of the youngest player in each IPL team.
Swastik Chikara (Delhi Capitals) – 18 years 346 days
Delhi Capitals signed several young players in the IPL 2024 auction. Kumar Kushagra caught the limelight after going for INR 7.20 crore while they also got Swastik Chikara, Tristan Stubbs and Harry Brook. Chikara is the youngest of them all and is a top order batter who can bowl off-spin. He scored a superb century for Uttar Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy last November.
Noor Ahmad (Gujarat Titans) – 19 years 71 days
The Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad is the youngest player in the Gujarat Titans squad for the IPL 2024. He is only 19 years 71 days of age but already has good experience, having played in leagues around the world. Noor Ahmad was a regular feature for Titans in the previous season, where he picked 16 wickets from 13 games at an economy of 7.82, which was the best for any GT bowler.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi (Kolkata Knight Riders) – 18 years 283 days
Angkrish Raghuvanshi is the youngest player in IPL 2024 signed by any IPL team. He was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders in the auction for the base price of INR 20 lakhs. A top order batter who can bowl left-arm spin, Raghuvanshi will be the youngest player in the upcoming IPL 2024. He was the top run-getter for India under-19 in their triumphant 2022/23 U19 World Cup. In November last year, Angkrish made one fifty and two 30s in five List A games.
Arshin Kulkarni (Lucknow Super Giants) – 19 years 28 days
Arshin Kulkarni is the youngest player in the Lucknow Super Giants team for the 2024 edition. He is aged 19 years 28 days and offers a dual skill set. Arshin, a top order batter and right arm medium pacer, played all seven games in the 2023/24 U19 World Cup. He made 189 runs and picked four wickets.
Dewald Brevis (Mumbai Indians) – 20 years 320 days
Dewald Brevis, at 20 years 320 days of age, is the youngest player in the Mumbai Indians squad for IPL 2024. The South African youngster is rated as one of the most gifted players and has good experience behind him in his short career so far. Brevis has been part of the MI side since 2022 and has played seven games for them. He's one of the only two specialist overseas batting options Mumbai have for the upcoming season.
Prabhsimran Singh (Punjab Kings) – 23 years 217 days
Punjab Kings' youngest player in IPL 2024 is Prabhsimran Singh, who is 23 years and 217 days old as of 14th March 2024. A destructive wicket-keeper batter from Punjab, he has played a good amount of cricket in the domestic circuit. Prabhsimran played all 14 matches in the group stage of IPL 2023 and was their second highest run-getter with 358 runs at 150 strike rate.
Kunal Singh Rathore (Rajasthan Royals) – 21 years 157 days
Kunal Singh Rathore will be the youngest player for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2024. He is currently aged 21 years and 157 days. He is a wicket-keeper batter from Rajasthan who has decent numbers in domestic cricket. Rathore has 254 runs from 12 T20 matches at 36 average and 138 strike rate.
Saurav Chauhan (Royal Challengers Bangalore) – 23 years 292 days
Saurav Chauhan plays for Gujarat in domestic cricket and is known to be a hard hitter in limited overs. He will be in the RCB camp as their youngest player in IPL 2024. The left-hand batter has played 19 T20s so far, scoring 464 runs at an average of 29 while striking at 152.
Nitish Kumar Reddy (Sunrisers Hyderabad) – 20 years 293 days
Nitish Kumar Reddy is an all-rounder who plays for Andhra in domestic cricket. At 20 years and 293 days, he is the youngest player in the Sunrisers Hyderabad side for the 2024 edition. Reddy has some experience in domestic cricket and was part of this franchise last year as well. He makes it to the list of the youngest player in each IPL team.
