Pakistan
Babar Azam and his men will be tested yet again against five-time champions Australia. Their bowling attack couldn’t defend 345 runs in the previous outing but Shaheen Afridi will be expected to bowl and so will be Shadab Khan as both of them stayed away from all the action last time around. Moreover, it also remains to be seen if the other top players will take the field two days before their first game of the tournament proper.

Pakistan squad: Babar Azam (C), Fakhar Zaman, Abdullah Shafique, Imam-ul-Haq, Iftikhar Ahmed, Agha Salman, Saud Shakeel, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Usama Mir
Australia
Clearly, Australia will be looking forward to get the likes of David Warner and other players who missed the last outing in action. They batted well to score 166 runs in the 23-over per side game against the Netherlands. Glenn Maxwell’s poor form with the bat on return from injury will be a concern for them. The bowling attack will most likely see Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa taking the centre stage while Mitchell Starc should rest after picking up a hattrick.

Pitch Report and expected weather conditions
The weather in Hyderabad is set to be clear on Tuesday (October 4) with minimal chances of rain. The temperature is expected to be around 30 Degrees Celsius with sun shining on both sides.
As far as the pitch is concerned, it is definitely full of runs. Pakistan lost to New Zealand comfortably in their previous warm-up despite scoring a massive total on the board. Bowling attacks of both sides will be tested once again.
Pakistan vs Australia Dream11 prediction
Here’s our Pakistan vs Australia Dream11 prediction for the warm-up match in Hyderabad:
- Wicket keeper(s): Mohammad Rizwan
- Batter(s): David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne, Fakhar Zaman
- All-rounder(s): Shadab Khan, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis
- Bowler(s): Shaheen Afridi, Pat Cummins, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood
- Recommended captain: David Warner
- Recommended vice-captain: Glenn Maxwell
It is better not to pick the top performers from the previous warm-up match. The likes of Babar, Starc, Smith among others might not take the field unless extremely necessary in this match. However, Rizwan is likely to bat or at least keep wickets hence, he has been picked. Warner and Labuschagne look certain to have a go with the bat and same is the case with Fakhar too.
Shaheen and Shadab will bowl definitely alongside Cummins, Zampa and Hazlewood who will be looking to get into groove before the tournament gets underway. Warner and Maxwell seem to be the best captain and vice-captain options with the latter looking for a good outing with the bat.
PAK vs AUS match prediction: Australia to win
Australia’s playing combination for the World Cup certainly looks top notch and it will be difficult to challenge. The way they batted in the ODI series against South Africa on flat pitches prove it will be tough for Pakistan bowlers to stop them. Hence, Australia are the favourites to win this match.
PAK vs AUS toss prediction: Australia to win the toss and bowl first
Our PAK vs AUS toss prediction is in favour of Australia with Cummins expected to call it correctly in the middle. As defending a score is extremely tough on the flat pitch in Hyderabad, it is very much given that Australia will win the toss and bowl first
Man of the Match prediction: David Warner
David Warner is a champion batsman and with the marquee game against India only a few days away, the left-hander will be keen on scoring big. He didn’t have a great ODI series last month against the Men in Blue but when it comes to the World Cup, the southpaw will surely look to turn the tables.
