India vs England ODI Lineup 2024

India and England are all set to play three ODI from Thursday, July 12th to Sunday, July 17th. The T20 series between the teams ends on July 10th, two days before the start of ODI matches.

Both teams have already named their respective squads to be captained by Jos Buttler and Rohit Sharma.

Buttler has replaced Eoin Morgan as the skipper of the Three Lions. Morgan retired from international cricket after the ODI series against the Netherlands.

For India, Rohit Sharma will take back the mantle from Hardik Pandya, who led India in the two T20Is in Ireland. The Indian opener, who missed the rearranged Test match due to Covid-19, will lead India in the upcoming limited-overs leg of the England tour.

The venues for the ODI games are Kennington Oval (London), Lord's Cricket Ground (London), and Old Trafford (Manchester).

With the ODI World Cup scheduled to be played in India in 2023, India and England will consider this series more important as the face-off is between the current ODI champions and the home team of the next year’s World Cup.

The batting unit of the Indian side will be strengthened by the incoming of experienced Shikhar Dhawan, who may open with Rohit Sharma. Hooda scored a T20 century in Ireland and made valuable contributions in almost every match he has got to play.
