Australia vs Netherlands result: Highlights, scorecard and man of the match

The Australia vs Netherlands result of the 24th match of the Cricket World Cup in India turned out to be heavily one-sided game.

The match was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi with the Aussies registering their third win in a row after the first two consecutive losses to get their campaign underway.

The Netherlands, on the other hand, who have looked settled so far endured a poor outing in Delhi and went down rather meekly, so unlike their attitude.

As far as the match is concerned, opener David Warner shone with the bat scoring yet another World Cup century. He laid the platform for the middle-order and go berserk and Glenn Maxwell did just that. He thumped 106 runs off just 44 balls to score the fastest World Cup ton and propelled Australia to a massive total of 399 runs in their 50 overs for the loss of eight wickets.

The Dutch had a near impossible task at their hands and they succumbed to pressure in the chase. They were shot for just 90 runs in 21 overs of their innings and lost the match by a huge margin of 309 runs.
