Mumbai Indians are in desperate need of a win after a terrible start to the IPL 2024. They are languishing at the bottom of the table with three back to back defeats. Their net run rate of -1.423 is also the worst in the competition.
Most recently, they lost to Rajasthan Royals at home by six wickets. Having been sent in to bat first, the MI batting unit was rattled by the left-arm pace duo of Trent Boult and Nandre Burger. Hardik Pandya top scored with 34 off 21 as they managed only 125. Akash Madhwal snared 3 for 20 in four overs but Mumbai just didn't have enough runs on the board.

Bowling first, Delhi's bowling unit was smashed by KKR who went on to post the second-highest team total in the IPL. Chasing a mammoth target of 273, DC could not get a start they needed, losing four wickets inside the powerplay. Rishabh Pant and Tristan Stubbs struck fifties but the target was out of reach.

Rishabh Pant has found his mojo back and that makes him a must-pick. David Warner and Rohit Sharma have been in good form while Suryakumar Yadav makes his return to action. Tristan Stubbs bats down the order but should enjoy batting here.

Suryakumar Yadav missed the first three games of the season with an injury but is set to make his comeback. He is the best T20 batter in the country and MI will be delighted to have him back. Last year, he scored 733 runs from 18 international T20s at an average of 49 and strike rate of 156. In the IPL 2023, SKY amassed 605 runs at a strike rate of 181 while averaging 43. Back him to mark his return with a bang.
