Punjab Kings had a terrible season last year as they finished eighth in the group stage with six wins out of 14 games. They have not qualified for the playoffs since 2014 and it is something they would be desperate to change. 

PBKS will have Jonny Bairstow available for this season but he could be battling for a spot with Rilee Rossouw. Apart from Rossouw, they also signed Harshal Patel, Chris Woakes and Shashank Singh in the auction. Sam Curran, Liam Livingstone and Kagiso Rabada seem to be the certain starters among overseas players.

During the auction, DC signed some exciting names such as Harry Brook, Tristan Stubbs, Ricky Bhui, Jhye Richardson and Kumar Kushagra. Brook, however, had to withdraw due to personal reasons whereas Lungi Ngidi was ruled out with an injury. DC then brought in Jake Fraser-McGurk as Ngidi’s replacement.

From the wicket-keepers slot, we have picked only Prabhsimran Singh as Rishabh Pant is returning from a long layoff and Jitesh Sharma bats down the order.
