What is the price of Mumbai World Cup match tickets?

As per the rates proposed by the MCA, the ticket prices for the hospitality boxes for the World Cup semi-final will cost Rs 45,000 each. A ticket at the hospitality seats on Level 2 in the Sachin Tendulkar and Dilip Vengsarkar Stands will cost Rs 40,000 for the last four clashes. On level 1 of these stands, a ticket will cost Rs 5,000, while for Level 3, a ticket will cost Rs 4,000.

For the Vithal Divecha Pavilion and the Vijay Merchant Stand Level 2, a World Cup semi-final ticket could cost Rs 5,000. A ticket for the Sunil Gavaskar Stand level 1 may cost Rs 2,500, while for level 2 of that stand, it may cost Rs 4,500. However, MCA has agreed to provide a 50% discount to its club members.

When will Mumbai World Cup match tickets be available?

The sale of Mumbai World Cup match tickets should be made public in a phased manner starting from August 25th. However, fans will have to wait till September 1, to get their tickets for the Mumbai venue.

As per the schedule, a total of 5 games will be played at the venue starting on October 21 and ending on November 15. The host nation India is slated to play its World Cup fixture at this venue against Sri Lanka on November 2.

Understanding the Wankhede Cricket Stadium

Wankhede Stadium is located in Mumbai within touching distance of the sea. It has a maximum capacity of 32,000 and extends across acres of land. The stadium was built in 1974 and had a capacity of around 33,000. Following its renovation in 2011, the stadium can now house over 45,000 fans. It is currently owned and managed by Mumbai Cricket Association Stadium. 

The complex is equipped with a huge cafeteria and a large number of toilets. The roof of the stadium is also fitted with a number of exhaust fans to maintain a pleasant flow of air within the stands. Elevators are also fitted in the stadium area, which makes commuting inside the stands easier.
