Suryakumar Yadav ODI centuries
Suryakumar Yadav holds no centuries in this format so far. He has yet to play a big innings in ODIs, with just four fifty-plus scores across his entire ODI career.
The best ODI innings of Suryakumar Yadav came very recently in a three-match ODI series right before the build-up to the ODI World Cup 2023. During the second ODI match, Yadav smacked the ball to all parts and looked at his menacing best, especially during the death overs. He scored an unbeaten 72 (37) to power India to 399. His belligerent knock allowed India to set up a crushing series victory by 2-0.
Suryakumar Yadav T20I centuries
If there is one format that Yadav has owned, it is the T20I version. SKY has undoubtedly been at his destructive best in the shortest format where he has smoked 1841 runs at a jaw-dropping strike rate of 172.7. All of the Suryakumar Yadav centuries fans have loved also came in this format, with the Mumbai-based batter currently holding three centuries in this format, against England, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka.

|111*||Vs New Zealand||Mount Maunganui||20 Nov 2022|
|112*||Vs Sri Lanka||Rajkot||7 Jan 2023|
Surya claimed his career-best T20I score against England in 2022. His dazzling 117 (55) came at an explosive strike rate of 212. While chasing a daunting total of 216, India lost their top three in quick succession. All hopes rested on SKY as he played a brutal innings to keep the men in blue in the hunt. Following his dismissal, India lost their way a bit and eventually ended up 18 runs short of their desired target.
Yet another electrifying ton was crushed against the Black Caps during their second T20I match late 2022.
His match-defining century of 111* (51) helped India overcome a spirited Kiwi side and eventually earn them a well-deserved series win. A brutal show with the bat by Yadav took the Kiwi bowlers by surprise, leaving them short of options whilst trying to contain his onslaught. He smashed 11 fours and seven sixes in that innings powering Indian to a monstrous first-innings score of 191. In reply, the New Zealand batting turned out to be brittle as they were bundled out cheaply for just 126.
Apart from Yadav’s blazing knock against Black Caps in late 2022, SKY followed it up with yet another brilliant century against Sri Lanka a few months later in Rajkot.
With the series at 1-1, the stage was set for an epic showdown between India and Sri Lanka. Surya rose up to the occasion and turned his beast mode on to notch up an emphatic century of 112*(51) to propel the Men in Blue to a powerful first-innings score of 228. He scored the bulk of the runs and smashed the Sri Lankan bowlers around the park. The target proved impossible to chase in the end as the Indian bowlers rattled through the defenses of the Lankan batters to skittle them cheaply for just 137. India went on to win the match as well as the series by 2-1.
Suryakumar Yadav Test centuries
Surya featured in a solitary Test match for India in the 2022-23 Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Sadly, he could only make eight runs in that game before being dismissed by Lyon. Lyon bowled a delightful tossed-up delivery around off stump line encouraging SKY to drive through the line. But unfortunately for him, he left a huge gap between bat and pad and the ball went through the gap to clatter the stumps.
Due to his limited chances, Mr. 360 has hit only one boundary in his international Test career.
Suryakumar Yadav centuries: Near misses
It is quite surprising to note that Suryakumar Yadav has never been dismissed in his nervous nineties. Unlike most players who often get jittery while approaching their milestone, Surya displays no signs of fear and would back himself fully to go the extra mile.
However, Yadav did get out in the eighties against the West Indies earlier in a five-match T20I series earlier this year. SKY made a well-made half-century and had his eyes firmly set on securing a crushing century. He single-handedly did the bulk of the scoring and got India close to their required target.
That is, until his stay was cut short on 83 by Alzarri Joseph who bowled a juicy low full-toss on his pads to get rid of him. India eventually managed to win the game by seven wickets.

Suryakumar Yadav was born on 9 February 1990 in Mumbai and started playing cricket under the coaching of his uncle Vinod Yadav. He grew up in the streets of Chembur and learnt most of his game there.
At age 10, his father noticed his inclination toward the game and signed him up in a cricket camp in the BARC colony situated in Anushakti Nagar. He then went to Elf Vengsarkar Academy, run by Dilip Vengsarkar where he played a majority of his age-group cricket in Mumbai.
Suryakumar eventually made his first-class debut against Delhi in the 2010-2011 Ranji season and top-scored for Mumbai with 73 runs. Over the course of the following four seasons, Suryakumar showcased his exceptional skills as a finisher, accumulating an impressive tally of 608 runs in 54 matches. He gradually began to earn a reputation for playing unbelievable shots most notably, his wristy flicks behind the keeper’s end for six.
He eventually made his international T20I debut in 2021, wherein he greeted Jofra Archer with a first-ball six by hooking him over deep fine leg. Yadav produced two fifties in his first three T20Is thereafter, and the year later he made 117 (55) in a game where India fell short in pursuit of a massive 215 by England.
