CSK vs KKR – The Best Match
More than 420 runs were scored on 21st April when Chennai Super Kings faced Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium. This match deserves to be the best head to head match played between CSR and KKR.
Batting first, Chennai Super Kings started aggressively. Openers Ruturak Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis stitched a 100 runs opening stand. Moeen Ali and MS Dhoni contributed with respective cameos in the death overs helping Chennai reach 220 runs for the fall of three wickets. While all the bowlers were getting smashed out of the park, Varun Chakravarthy bowled a stingy spell and gave just 27 runs.

The chase did not start well for Kolkata as they lost both the openers cheaply. Shubman Gill could not even open his account. The match looked one-sided in favour of Chennai until the lower middle order walked in to bat.
First Andre Russel joined hands with Dinesh Kartik and took charge of the attack. The duo smashed 8 sixes combined, the majority of them coming from Russell’s bat. After the dismissal of Russell and Dinesh Kartik, it was the Pat Cummins show at the Wankhede.
Cummins eliminated Wankhede with 6 sixes and a strike rate of 194. It looked like he would take the game away from Chennai. Eventually, his efforts were not enough for KKR to win the match. Cummins remained unbeaten with 66 runs and Chennai won the game by 16 runs.
