- Gujarat Titans:
The Titans came into the tournament as defending champion, and they have played like one. Shubman Gill has been the standout batter for them, having already racked up two centuries. He is also one of four batters, along with Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler, to score back-to-back hundreds in the IPL. The fact that Rashid Khan and Mohammed Shami are among the leading wicket-takers of the IPL shows how dominant GT have been. They lost to CSK in the Qualifier 1, but clawed back into the finals with a win over Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2.

- Chennai Super Kings:
CSK started their campaign with a five-wicket defeat at the hands of the Titans in the opening game of the tournament. At one point in time, they found themselves hanging in the middle of the table before climbing the ladder with some comprehensive performances under their belt. Devon Conway, Shivam Dube, Ajinkya Rahane and Ruturaj Gaikwad have been their batting mainstays. The likes of Matheesha Pathirana and Tushar Deshpande took charge of picking up wickets at crunch moments. They will face Gujarat in the finals of IPL 2023.
- Mumbai Indians:
Mumbai Indians started their campaign with two defeats on the trot after being the first team to be eliminated back in the 2022 IPL. But after they beat the Delhi Capitals to secure their first win, the five-time champions found momentum. After beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets, MI needed luck to go their way and that came in the form of GT’s win over RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. They beat Lucknow in the Eliminator to enter the Qualifier 2 clash. But lost to Gujarat there to crash out of the season.

- Lucknow Super Giants:
LSG were dealt with a body blow after KL Rahul was ruled out of the tournament midway due to an injury. However, the Super Giants brought in Quinton de Kock to fill that void. The Super Giants had their fair share of ups and downs and in the end, they finished 17 points to qualify for the playoffs after beating KKR at Eden Gardens.
In the Eliminator on May 24th between LSG and MI, Mumbai emerged victorious, knocking Lucknow out of the season. Qualifier 2 and the TATA IPL 2023 final will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 26th and May 28th respectively.

Which teams are playing the final?
It seems as if it was only yesterday when the Gujarat Titans, the defending champions, squared off against the Chennai Super Kings to commence the highly anticipated 2023 season of the Indian Premier League. However, in the blink of an eye, we have already come to the completion of the group stage of IPL 2023. And in the Qualifier 1, Chennai Super Kings trumped Gujarat at home in Chepauk to go through to the finals for the 10th time in 14 attempts, a remarkable record for a top-notch franchise.
The Gujarat Titans were one of the favorites to play in the Final of the TATA IPL 2023, but the latest loss would mean them having to win two games on the trot to win the title for a second time. The pre-season favorites were the first of IPL final teams 2023. The second team in the IPL final teams 2023 will be the Chennai Super Kings. Another consistent season from the Men in Yellow, making a strong comeback after a bad run in 2022. The IPL final teams 2023 will be the clash between mentor and the disciple, MS Dhoni vs Hardik Pandya.

The prediction for the winner of IPL 2023 is Gujarat Titans. The most consistent team in the IPL for the second season running. Every player from No.1 to No.11 along with the substitutes have stepped up in the time of need. The opener Shubman Gill, is having a year to remember as the rising star of Indian Cricket carried his form with the bat into the IPL 2023. Gill has been GT’s prominent contributor with the bat, scoring 576 runs at an average of 48 and a strike rate of 146.19. Gill has been supported by his opening partner Wriddhiman Saha, Hardik Pandya, David Miller, Sai Sudharsan and Vijay Shankar all scoring above 200 runs in the season.
In the bowling department, Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan have picked up 24 wickets each, as they battle it out for the Aramco Purple Cap. Mohammed Shami has shown his magic with the new rock while Rashid has cleaned up the middle and the lower order of the teams. The pair has been supported by the likes of Mohit Sharma, Noor Ahmad and Alzarri Joseph who have stepped in the limited opportunities that they have got.
Even though the Chennai Super Kings might be looking for their 5th IPL title to go level with arch-rivals Mumbai Indians but will eventually fall short to the defending champions Gujarat Titans, who we predict will come back and win against CSK in more favourable conditions at home in Ahmedabad after winning the Qualifier 2 against Mumbai Indians.
