India vs Sri Lanka Asia Cup final toss prediction: India to win the toss and bat first

The Asia Cup 2023 final is set to be played between India and Sri Lanka on Sunday (September 17). While India picked up two wins in the Super Four stage against Pakistan and Sri Lanka, the Lankans managed to overcome Bangladesh and Pakistan to reach the summit clash. 

India failed to win their last match of the Super Four stage against Bangladesh. The management decided to rest key players like Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah for this dead-rubber clash and fell short by six runs in the clash.

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, had a pretty close encounter against Pakistan in a match that was also heavily interrupted by rain. The hosts pulled off a last-ball win to reach the final of the Asia Cup yet again and will be determined to go all the way for the fifth time in the 50-over format of the tournament.

Sri Lanka have a last-minute injury concern, with Maheesh Theekshana ruled out of the final, with Sahan Arachchige replacing him.

India will be without Axar Patel for this game, after he suffered multiple blows to his hand while batting against Bangladesh. Washington Sundar will replace him in the squad.

Ever since, the tournament has started, there has been a rain interruption in India’s matches at least. Nothing changes in the forecast for September 17 as there is more than a 60% chance of rain during the match. As far as the temperature is concerned, it will be around 25-30 Degrees Celsius with a lot of humidity around 80%, like it has been right through this week.
