135* vs Australia, Headingley 2019 

The Headingley heist remains one of the greatest moments in the history of the Ashes. What Ben Stokes did in the Test of the 2019 Ashes elevated his stature to a whole new level. England were bowled out for 67 in the first innings and were given a target of 359.

Stokes just tried to hang in there while Jonny Bairstow was batting alongside before changing gears as wickets started falling around him. Jack Leach (1*) preserved his wicket as the pair scored 76 runs for the final wicket to clinch the match. Stokes finished an unbeaten 135 with 11 fours and eight sixes.

258 vs South Africa, Cape Town 2016

This was one of the best displays of hitting by Ben Stokes. In the second Test against South Africa at Cape Town, England were in a bit of trouble with 167/4 on the board when he walked in. Stokes scored his fifty off 70 balls while recovering the innings. 

Stokes changed the gears and scored his second fifty in just 35 balls to register a stunning century. Stokes then went in the highest gear and smashed his next hundred off just 58 balls. He added a massive 399-run partnership for the sixth wicket with Bairstow. Stokes finished with an incredible 258 in just 198 deliveries, which included 30 fours and 11 sixes.

103 vs South Africa, Manchester 2022 

One of the best Ben Stokes centuries came last year when they hosted South Africa at Old Trafford. England had just adopted a new attacking style under Stokes and Brendon McCullum. But they were hammered by South Africa in the first Test and there were claims of the death of Bazball. 

After bowling out the visitors for 151, England were in a spot of bother at 147/5. Stokes rebuilt the innings along with Ben Foakes, adding 173 runs for the sixth wicket. The England captain struck 103 off 163 with six fours and three sixes. England went on to win the match by an innings and level the series.

101 vs Bangladesh, Mirpur 2016 

Ben Stokes registered his maiden ODI century in 2016 on the tour of Bangladesh. Batting first in the first game at Mirpur, England had lost 3 for 63 and were in desperate need of a partnership. Stokes recovered the innings well with a 153-run stand with Ben Duckett. He smashed 101 off 100 in an excellent knock that included eight fours and four sixes. England posted 309 on the board and won the game by 21 runs to take the lead. 

101 vs South Africa, Southampton 2017 

The second Ben Stokes ODI century came in the second ODI of the 2017 series against South Africa. Batting first, England were 80 for 3 in 16 overs and needed someone to step up. Stokes added 95 runs with Eoin Morgan and 77 more with Jos Buttler. He smashed 101 runs in just 79 deliveries with 11 fours and three sixes. His knock helped England get 330 as they went on to clinch the game by two runs in a thrilling finish.

102* vs Australia, Birmingham 2017 

The 2017 Champions Trophy witnessed another Ben Stokes masterclass when England took on Australia in the group stage. Mark Wood and Adil Rashid had picked four wickets each to restrict the Aussies to 277. Chasing that target, England were in huge trouble after losing both openers and Joe Root. Captain Morgan and Stokes weathered the storm, and put on a 159-run partnership. Stokes was unbeaten on 102 off 109 when the rain interrupted. England won the match as they were ahead by 40 runs on DLS method.
