India, on the other hand, have won seven matches on the trot and are at the top of the table. Rohit Sharmaโs men will be high on confidence after beating Sri Lanka by 302 runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

India beat South Africa by seven wickets when the two teams last met in an ODI on October 11, 2022 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
After opting to field first, India bowled the Proteas out for 99 in 27.1 overs. Barring Heintich Klaasen, who scored 34 runs off 42 balls, none of the South African batters showed resistance.

Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the Indian bowlers after he finished with figures of 4.1-1-18-4. The left-arm wrist spinner got the wickets of Andile Phehlukwayo, Marco Jansen, Bjorn Fortuin and Anrich Nortje. Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj and Shahbaz Ahmed picked up two wickets apiece.
India chased down the target with 30.5 overs left in their innings. Shikhar Dhawan got out early, but Shubman Gill stayed not out on 49 off 57 balls with eight fours. Shreyas Iyer also looked fluent in his knock, scoring 28 runs off 23 balls.
