Rohit Sharma Centuries | List of All Rohit Sharma ODI, Test, T20I and IPL Centuries
For a major first half of his career playing for India, Rohit Sharma was regarded as one of India's most gifted batsmen. As someone who had enormous talent, his failure to achieve prolonged success at the international level was beyond those who had followed his career closely. The Mumbai-based batsman was blessed with timing and was pleasing to the eye.
Rohit's international career kickstarted in 2007 while he grabbed all the eyeballs with his fifty against South Africa in his maiden T20I outing in the T20 World Cup 2007. However, it took Rohit Sharma nearly four years to register his maiden hundred in the ever-growing list of his international centuries.
A Career-Changing phase in 2013
Rohit scored his first two centuries in consecutive games before it took him another three years to cross the elusive landmark. The year 2013 proved career-changing for the youngster who was offered the opportunity to open the batting in the Champions Trophy. There was never looking back for Rohit from thereon as he developed a run-scoring habit. He gradually began to do justice to his talent with his immense hard work and consistency at the highest level.

A 2nd innings in Test Cricket – As Opener
Indian Cricket Team made a move to promote Rohit Sharma at the top of the order as an opener before the 2019 home season. While Rohit began his Test career with a century in his debut innings, his career graph went downhill in the next few years. However, in his first innings as a Test opener, Rohit smashed a hundred to resolve India's opening woes. It will be a huge challenge for Sharma to open in away Tests against the moving ball. Currently, Rohit Sharma scored his first Test century in overseas Tests (away from India) against England in the 4th Test.
Here's a look at all Rohit Sharma Centuries in cricket across formats:

Even though Rohit Sharma was one of the few players to have started off his Test career with a debut century, there was an extended wait for the player to hit a ton after his debut series against West Indies. After his first Test century in 2013, Rohit Sharma had to wait just over four years to grab his second century – against Sri Lanka at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.
In the four years between his first Test century and the third, Rohit Sharma was unable to hold on to the spot in the team on several occasions. Even his third century came against a very weak Sri Lankan outfit. After this high, however, he was unable to build on the strengths and he once again struggled for consistency. The frequent switching between the various formats has also not helped matters. However, things started looking on the up after he was put in as the opener from the South African series onwards.
Rohit Sharma quickly became one of the top players in the Indian setup. He was able to create a huge record after hitting a twin century in his debut. Back then, India were able to get more than 500 runs while he scored 176 just in the first innings. This was followed by a century in the second innings against South Africa. The innings also witnessed Rohit Sharma hit a remarkable 13 sixes in the game and it is the highest by any batsman when it comes to a single Test game. It is very common for great batsman to have a couple of double hundreds in the Test format. Rohit Sharma, though, goes one better by having picked up three double centuries even in the ODI format.
List of Rohit Sharma ODI centuries
Rohit Sharma has registered a total of 29 centuries in ODI cricket. His tally of ODI centuries also includes three mammoth double centuries. Rohit's highest ODI score of 264 came against Sri Lanka in 2014 at Eden Gardens.

The first century in ODI games was in 2010 when he managed 114 against Zimbabwe. Yet, India managed to lose this game. It did not take long to follow up this incredible hit, as Rohit Sharma produced 101 not out against Sri Lanka just two days later. However, it took the Mumbai-born batsman three more years before he would be able to hit a century in one-day internationals.
The 141 not out against Australia in October 2013 also paved the way for a new position in the team for Rohit Sharma. Under the stewardship of MS Dhoni, Rohit begin the opener and this paved the way for a sizeable change in his career graph. Alongside the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit was able to dominate many of the matches for India. His first double century came in November 2013 against Australia at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru when he hit 209 against the Aussies.
Up until 2015, Rohit had a strong display of decent form with eight centuries in the ODIs. From there, however, he hit a rough patch that stretched to almost 2 years before he bounced back in style like none other. In 2017 alone, he was able to hit six centuries and there were further improvements to his game in the coming years. He was able to match the 2017 achievements in 2018 and this led to Rohit being branded as one of the dependable players in the team after Kohli.
Since 2020, though, he has not been able to hit any ODI centuries. Yet, his overall form continues to remain excellent. As one of the experienced campaigners in the Indian setup, Rohit Sharma is often one of the first names on the squad list.

Rohit Sharma has been part of more than 200 IPL games. He has registered one century during the process, although he has been one of the key figures in Mumbai Indians being very successful in the tournament with five IPL titles. His only IPL century came when he did not open the innings after he was brought in as the No 3. The century featured five sixes and four boundaries. Crucially, he was able to dispatch iconic bowlers like Brett Lee and Jacques Kallis to all sections of the ground. His century came against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens, which happens to be his favourite ground of all time. Since then, he has come close to matching the feat in 2015 when he scored a 98 not out against the same opponent.
