The IPL 2021 Schedule is released by the BCCI. As per the 2021 IPL schedule, the full IPL season will be played in India across six cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru. It will be interesting to see how will the board ensure the safety of players amidst a delicate COVID-19 situation in the country. As expected, BCCI will plan to accommodate teams in respective bio-bubbles across the cities that will host the 2021 IPL season.

The four cities including Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru will host ten IPL matches each while Ahmedabad and Delhi are slated to host eight IPL matches each in 2021. There will be no away or home fixtures for any IPL teams this year.

IPL 2021 Opening Match: Fixture Date, Venue, and Timings

The opening match in each IPL season is one of the most highly anticipated matches in the entire tournament. For the upcoming 2021 IPL season, the defending champions Mumbai Indians will lock horns against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai on April 9. The IPL 2021 Final will be played at the Narender Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 30. The timings for the Day fixtures have been confirmed to start at 3:30 PM while the evening matches will begin at 7:30 PM Local time.
