Chennai Super Kings holds the record for most Fair Play awards won in IPL history. The franchise has won the award on six occasions. CSK was the first team to receive the fair play award in the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008. Later, CSK won on successive occasions in 2010 and 2011 before winning it thrice in a row between 2013 and 2015.
2. Most wins under a single captain in the IPL – 99

Chennai Super Kings is the only team which has seen only two players who have captained the franchise through all these years. While MS Dhoni has captained CSK in 160 IPL matches, the franchise has emerged victorious on 99 occasions. This is the record for any franchise with most wins under the same IPL captain. CSK's next win under Dhoni will mark its 100th win under him since 2008.

3. Most appearances in an IPL final – 8

Chennai Super Kings has aced the art of making through to the playoffs in every season that they have played. CSK is the only franchise that has made the knockout stages in each season of the IPL. Out of those 10 seasons, the Dhoni-led franchise has made a record – eight appearances in the IPL final. This also happens to be the record for the most number of appearances in IPL final.
4. Most Purple Cap holders for a team – 4

CSK also boasts of the record for the most Purple Cap winners in IPL history. In IPL 2013, Dwayne Bravo became the first CSK player to win the prestigious Purple Cap. In the next two years, CSK managed to retain the Purple Cap with Mohit Sharma and Bravo winning it in the respective years. Also, in IPL 2019, Imran Tahir picked most IPL wickets to bag the Purple Cap for Chennai.
5. Only team to successfully defend their IPL title

In IPL 2011, Chennai became the only team in the IPL to successfully defend their IPL title. In the previous edition in IPL 2010, CSK got the better of Mumbai Indians to secure their maiden IPL title while they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a one-sided IPL final at Chinnaswamy stadium in 2011.

6. First team to win all home matches in a single IPL season – 2011

In IPL 2011, Chennai unlocked a major feat when they went onto win all their home games in IPL 2011. In doing so, the ‘Yellow Army' became the first IPL franchise to win all home matches in an IPL season. Later, in IPL 2013, Mumbai Indians became only the second team after CSK to win all their home matches in an IPL edition.
7. Highest win percentage for an IPL franchise – 61.28

CSK might not have most IPL trophies, but certainly have the highest win percentage in IPL history. In 165 matches in the IPL, CSK has won 100 games to go along with their win percentage of 61.28. They are succeeded by Mumbai Indians with a win percentage of 57.75 with 107 wins from 187 matches.
8. Lowest score defended by any team in the IPL – 116/9
While CSK has always had a merry run in the IPL, they were once bundled out for 116 against Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2009. However, they still managed to find a way to win that game by 24 runs after Punjab could only score 92 runs in their allotted 20 overs. The game holds a historical significance as it happens to be the lowest total defended in IPL history.
9. Most wickets in an IPL edition for a bowler – Dwayne Bravo (32)

In IPL 2013, Dwayne Bravo bagged the Purple Cap award for picking the most wickets in the IPL season. In 18 games, Bravo secured a whopping tally of 32 wickets at an average of 15.53. He established the record for most wickets picked in a single edition of the IPL. Even ten years hence, no bowler has managed to go-past Bravo's tally of 32 wickets.

10. Most consecutive appearances for the same IPL franchise – Suresh Raina (134)

Suresh Raina holds the record for most consecutive appearances for the same IPL franchise. Since 2008, Raina featured in straight 134 IPL matches for CSK before writing out due to an injury. He missed a game against Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2018, setting up a record for most consecutive IPL appearances for a team. Raina is succeeded by Rohit Sharma with 133 consecutive matches for Mumbai Indians, followed by Virat Kohli at third spot with 129 consecutive appearances for RCB.
