DC vs RCB match prediction: Delhi Capitals to win

dc vs rcb prediction

The Capitals have been excellent while playing at home of late. RCB have struggled on slow and low pitches. DC should be able to beat RCB in their upcoming clash and are the favorites in today's match prediction.

DC vs RCB toss prediction: Delhi Capitals to win the toss and bat first

The Capitals should opt to bat first after winning the toss as per our DC vs RCB toss prediction for today. The pitch in Delhi may get tough for batting as the match progresses.

DC vs RCB man of the match prediction: Mitchell Marsh

Mitchell Marsh missed the previous game due to a niggle. If he plays the next game, he has a great chance of making a significant impact. Our DC vs RCB prediction has Marsh being a top batter for Delhi.

DC vs RCB betting odds

  • Delhi Capitals: 2.008
  • Royal Challengers Bangalore: 1.805

The bookmakers think that RCB have a better chance of winning, likely because they are placed above the Capitals in the points. But since DC will be playing at home, they may edge out the Challengers in our IPL predictions. The DC vs RCB betting odds are slightly in favour of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore match preview

Delhi Capitals

The Delhi Capitals, led by David Warner, started their campaign with five losses on the trot. But having won three out of their last four matches, the Capitals are starting to climb the ladder, although they are placed at the bottom of the table with six points and a net run rate of -0.768 courtesy of wins in three out of nine matches.

They will go into the DC vs RCB match after beating Hardik Pandya’s Gujarat Titans by five runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After opting to bat first, the Capitals scored 130 for the loss of eight wickets. Barring Aman Khan, who scored his maiden IPL fifty, none of the DC batters challenged the GT bowlers.

Aman Khan scored 51 runs off 44 balls with three fours and as many sixes. The Capitals recovered to some extent after being reduced to 23 for five in five overs. Axar Patel and Ripal Patel scored in their 20s and took DC to a respectable score.

Hardik Pandya scored an unbeaten 59 runs off 53 balls with seven fours, but the Capitals did not allow the Titans to go past the finish line. Rahul Tewatia threatened for a bit by scoring 20 off seven, but Ishant Sharma dismissed him to drill the final nail in the coffin. DC vs RCB prediction could be impacted by Warner's form.

DC possible 11: David Warner (c), Philip Salt (wk), Manish Pandey, Rilee Rossouw, Priyam Garg, Axar Patel, Ripal Patel, Aman Hakim Khan, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Ishant Sharma

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB, on the other hand, keep hanging in the middle of the table with 10 points and a net run rate of -0.030. They have won five out of nine matches and need to find a bit of consistency to enter into the top four and cement their place there.

They will go into the DC vs RCB match after beating KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. After being put in to field first, LSG restricted RCB to 126 for the loss of nine wickets. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis put on 62 runs for the opening wicket off nine overs. While Kohli scored 31, du Plessis racked up 44 runs.

After Ravi Bishnoi dismissed Kohli, RCB lost momentum completely. Naveen-ul-Haq picked up three wickets while Bishnoi and Amit Mishra got two wickets apiece. K Gowtham got the crucial wicket of Anuj Rawat.

RCB, however, did not lose heart and bowled the Super Giants out for 108 in 19.5 overs. Plenty of their batters got into double, but none of them failed to convert. This DC vs RCB prediction hinges on how Bangalore's openers fare.

RCB possible 11: Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis (c), Anuj Rawat, Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Suyash Prabhudessai, Wanindu Hasaranga, Karn Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood
